Praise be to this little country girl,
Who deserved to be the mother of God!
I believe she was born in Brittany
And that she lived there before my very eyes….
She is the only one.
She is greeted by Gabriel;
She deserves it:
That is why God is upon her.
He is in her, he is around her;
He is her husband, her son, her father;
She is his nurse and his mother;
She is his queen, he is her king.
Virgin Mary, watch over me.
