The will alone or the will alone

Antigone knows that man must not rely solely on his will. Here too, it is a question of power swelling with its own pride. Will alone becomes perverted, corrupted, withered, and arrogant. Will alone, or the will alone that often accompanies it, takes over the world as soon as a higher power, authority, is forgotten. All those who act in politics without referring to a higher power are going astray. This is a lesson from Antigone, one of the laws forgotten by Creon that she reaffirms and reminds us of.
